1. Ruang Utama : Space for major exhibition (about 700 m sq.) is used to keep and exhibit works of Sunaryo which have been selected by The Board of Curators based on time line and periods of creation. In addition to its function above, the room is also used for exhibitions of big scale that expose artists from Indonesia and overseas. The temporary exhibition room of Ruang Sayap and Ruang Pamer Tengah (each of them is about 100 m sq.), are used to execute art works exhibitions of young artists from Indonesia as well as overseas. In addition to that, the spaces are also used to expose the permanent collection of the museum consisting of selected works of artists from Indonesia and overseas. 2. Ruang Rupa Rungu: Space for Audio Visual, it is used to have the film screened and viewed and documentation presentation, seminars a well as discussions of fine arts. 3. Amphitheatre, an open space, amphitheatric in shape, with its maximum capacity of audience for about 300 people and this is specially built and structured for staging of performing arts, poetry reading, monologues as well as other cultural performance act. 4. Cinderamata Selasar: a small shop where people can purchase art and cultural books, journals of arts and culture as well as gifts and souvenirs special to the Selasar. 5. Kopi Selasar: an open café available for the visitors to have themselves served coffee an snacks while enjoying a beautiful scenery of the Dago hill. 6. Rumah Bambu, a typical bamboo house made of bamboo. The house is used for artists to spend the nights for a certain program or artists in residence, or special guests. 7. Bale Handap is a multi purpose space which is used for discussion and workshop. The model of the building is inspired by Javanese traditional building and an open terrace is also available. Bale Handap – the House on the Lowland – is separated from the major building, is located between the Bamboo House with the lowest level of the Selasar. |
