Program

Since 2002, Selasar Sunaryo Art Space has become one of the hosts for execution of International Artists in Residence Program sponsored by UNESCO-ASCHBERG through  International Fund for Promotion of Culture (IFPC) as one of UNESCO?s institutions in especially funding  the cultural programs in cooperation with Yayasan Kelola as a liason officer in Indonesia. For 2003 period, the Selasar has received letters of application from more than 40 applicants from Europe and USA.  
The selected artist in residence for 2004 is Ms. Katarzyna Dreszer, an assistant professor and lecturing staff in the department of Visual Communication, Faculty of Multimedia in Academy of Fine Art, Poznan, Polandia. She stays and works at the Selasar for two months (beginning from the first week of January to the middle of March, 2004). In her residential stay, Ms. Dreszer organizes lecture and workshop on the theme of  “Miasto - Liquid Picture Workshop” whose target is executing a conceptual and artistic investigation towards the city characters and urban space through the medium of moving picture. The workshop is attended by six students of Bandung Institute of Technology: Boris Berndtson, Yusuf Ismail, Erik M. Pauhrizi, Rani Ravenina, Dodi Mustafa and Riva Ramanda.
The result of the workshop is the creation of some works in form of moving picture in many formats (video as well as animation) which are exhibited at Selasar Sunaryo Art Space from March 1 to 10 under the title : “Re-inventing Bandung : Liquid Picture Project”.

The exhibition is in collaboration with the Department of Fine Arts - FSRD Bandung Institute of Technology.
