Selasar Solo Project series is a new periodic event at Selasar Sunaryo Art Space that aimsto present individual projects by different artists at the same time. It challenges artists to conquer different spaces and site-specific environment in the gallery compound, or to present a recent body of works with focus on particular theme.

Selasar Solo Project series give the respective artist an opportunity to stand out face to face, comment and respond to each other’s project more openly.

Banung Grahita (born, Bandung, 1983) is a video artist who works mainly with video, animation and interactive media. Profanity Prayers is a series of video animation, drawings and prints that deal with current situation in the contemporary society, in which the system of media communication has turned human into a new creature submitting to new media gods and religion.

Duto Hardono (born Jakarta, 1985) works with different material and medium, including sound, drawing, video and performance. Good Love, Bad Joke comprises his new series of drawings and collages, tape and film loop, and performance about repetition, loop and delay. Hardono draws inspiration from different sources, from craft work, pop culture, anti-art movement, dark humour and nihilism.
